The portions are good for a quick bite, if you're looking for something more substantial - you could do that here if you ordered a Bento Box or maybe a few sides at once, or a side accompanying one of the noodle or ramen dishes. I went in a bit after the lunch rush (after 2.30pm) which helped as there were seats available to eat in, a menu is available on the wall and outside the door if you have never been here before. I work nearby in Russell Square and fancied a change from going to the normal eateries and places near Tottenham Court Road, so decided to have a quick lunch in Japanese Canteen for the first time.
